Banana Split From Toke And Smoke Shop – 9/10
Nose:
- sweet and fruity
- sour
- has a kush type nasal pinch
- little bit earthy and peppery
- kind of smells like a tool shed from a grandpa’s yard in a very small town
- touch of hay scent
- getting some skunk when broken open
- pretty strong scent overall
Look:
- nice larger bud and a couple smalls feel fairly dense and tight
- manicure seems alright with just a touch of leaf that adds character
- the bigger bud is absolutely caked in trichomes giving it a somewhat whitish appearance, mixed with the orangey stigmas and the darker green leafy bits it looks pretty nice
- one of the smaller buds is completely different looking than the other ones – it’s a different colour green and seems leafier – not sure what that’s about
- has good springback when squeezed
- seeing some mauve colour on the inside
- not sticky on the outside but a bit sticky when broken open and busted up
Roll:
- Toke And Smoke organic rice 1 1/4 wide paper with smaller filter tip used
- yep, they provided papers so why not use them for the reviews?
- felt lots of resistance while grinding – the bud is pretty dense
- ground up pretty nice and even looking
- little bit above average on the bud stick
- considerably more than the average amount of kief yield
- rolls very easily resulting in a nice tight joint
- ash is medium grey, mostly soft with a touch of grit and just a hint of finger stain
Taste:
- tastes mushroomy and a bit chlorophylly before lighting up – just puffing on an unlit doob
- once lit up tastes somewhat sweet
- strawberry
- bitter and skunky
- earthy like a dank forest
- woody
- almost campfirey
- reminiscent of a wood fueled BBQ
- very skunky
- nice puffing all the way through and super slow burning
High:
- started to feel the buzz coming on just past the 1/2 way point
- top of the head, forehead and ears all feel a bit buzzy
- has a very skunky aftertaste and lingering smell (don’t smoke this during lunch break at work)
- mind feels foggy/spacey
- pretty decent pain relief
- eyes feeling a bit dry
- mind is pretty active – very much an introspective type of stone
- lasts about 2hrs or so
